Clement Meade

Clement Jerome Meade, Chief Physical Planner

Clement has more than 22 years with the Government of Montserrat and has served as the Chief Physical Planner since 2014. He has a Masters in Environmental Assessment and Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Development & Planning.

edward EstwickEdward Estwick, Physical Planner

Edward Estwick has been working with the Physical Planning Unit for the past 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge in planning and building construction. He has recently undergone training in Barbados in the construction of better homes in July 2018 as part of a regional workshop on Good building practices funded by the Caribbean Development Bank. This workshop forms a trainer of trainers workshop which the Physical Planning Unit is undertaking  to educate artisans and contractors in providing tips to provide improvements in the building construction industry .

Hawwa Hassan, Physical Planning Officer

Hawwa Hassan has recently joined the Physical Planning Unit in November 2017. She holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.

Cedric Shiell has been working with the Physical Planning Unit as senior building inspector for close to eight years. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge  in building construction and has attended construction courses in the United Kingdom as part of his personal development.

Muadelle Weekes has been working with the Physical Planning Unit as a Building Inspector. He is multi-talented and has a passion for music. He is presently pursuing a Bacheor’s Degree in Construction Management in the United Kingdom. We wish him well in his studies.

Alvin Ryan, Senior Electrical Inspector

Alvin Ryan was appointed to the post of Senior Electrical Inspector in 2014 and has a wealth of knowledge in electrical inspections and testing. He has lead the electrical inspectorate during  a critical juncture in the redevelopment of Montserrat and has ensured that most of the buildings in Montserrat are wired safe and in keeping with the latest IEE Regulation as used in the United Kingdom.

 

 

 

eugene bradeEugene  Brade, Electrical Inspector

Eugene Brade is a qualified electrician who has worked in the private sector for a number of years and has joined the Physical Planning Unit as Electrical Inspector in 2016. He has provided valuable support in the area of electrical inspections and much needed advice to clients to ensure compliance and good electrical safety practices in the home.

Szjuen GriffithSzjuen Griffith, Intern

Szjuen Griffith has been studying a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional  Planning at the University of Technology in Jamaica. He has recently joined the Physical Planning Unit as an intern in July 2018 and has worked for two months with the Unit. His work assignment with the unit would form part of his assessment at the University. The Physical Planning Unit staff wishes him all the success in his academic career.

Eurlanzo jeffersEurlanzo Jeffers

Eurlanzo Jeffers has joined the Physical Planning Unit as a clerical officer in 2016. He has found an interest in urban development planning while he has been working with the Unit. He is presently pursuing a Degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Technology in Jamaica. The Physical Planning Unit staff wishes him well in this career path and hope to welcome him soon.
